hehe, i hope that Doran69, if they win it, comes and tells us whether it is or not! To be fair, if i hjad money to band around, then i'd probably buy old minters like that.
good luck to them.

If i had it id probably pay it but i really dont think its worth it and thats coming from an out and out 240 enthusiast, another similar car will come up for a song, i recall neil stevensons 78 245DL with i think 27k on the clock going for a couple of hundred quid, its a pity but its all their worth, ok for us that like buying them not so great when selling!
On a similar note, i was in the right place at the right time with my 78 245GLE, its in mint order, paint very tasty no rust at all 89k miles and i went in to the guys house to enquire if it was for sale and he said well i was actually going to scrap it some day soon so i took it for nothing

But what happens to those of us who aren't in the right place at the right time? We just have to pay to get what we want!
Once in all my years of motoring have I happened on a real genuine bargain on my doorstep - the rest of the time I have had to join the rest of the world and pay the market price. But I wouldn't pay the £3000 this one is currently at though! John D

Thing is with the milage that low you've got to think what's going to happen if you actually start to use it, it will probably need lots of bits of running gear/gaskets/bushes/grommets etc replaced pretty soon.

Hmmm would someone have offered more than 3k i wonder?? Even if i had it to spend i dont think id really offer more than that, at the end of the day its still a bit too standard even if it does have super low mileage but think of the amount of age and lack of use deteriorated consumables to be replaced,
