Default Whirring noise like a bus

Hi all,
Just had new tyres fitted on the front of our 2004 xc90 and was driving fine, however, today it started making a speed related whirring noise from the front end, think it makes it under acceleration and possibly both directions. Sounds like the noise from a bus??
Any ideas what could be causing it?

When the bearings in the idler pulley go they can make a whirring noise. When this has happened to me you can hear it with the bonnet using at idle and definitely goes up with the engine revs.
