[E type racer]

Just purchased this. every time its starts it comes up Alarm Malfunction , Service required. Anybody any ideas. All seems to be working ok

Could be that the siren is knackered.

The same happened to my good lady's 2015 V60 and our local Volvo specialist suggested that the siren might be stuffed.

Then the problem went away of its own accord. Strange!

Has the car been stood for a while…siren battery could just be flat…

Long drive at high revs - always good for a battery charge.

Siren batteries do fail, leak typically and associated issues leaked batteries bring. Common problem on may older cars (used to drive a Fiat coupe and it plagued coups..)
