DVD Header unit

Right sorry if this question has been asked before, but im thinling of putting a dvd head unit in my s40, now dose any one know what size the standard unit is and what dvd unit will fit in??

As standard, the x40 range have a double din size stereo. If you go with a normal sized flip out dvd player, you will need to buy a din pocket as well to fill the hole in the dash but personally, I would go for a full size double din screen.

What ever you do, you will need a wiring adaptor kit to plug into your standard volvo stereo wiring to adapt it to Iso.

cheers inchley313 yeah its the full size i was thinking of sorry should have made that clear, most of the units i have seen on sale a 7 inch i haven't measured the standard Volvo size yet but i don't think it is that big.

They measure on the diagonal for the screen size so 7" will fit in a double DIN device - Mike
