Question Hazard Lights Wiring Diagram

Hi All

I have a 1970 140 hazard light switch that I would like to install in my 1969 144S. I am unsure of the wiring of this switch and what else I would require complete the install. Would I need an additional relay or does it just bridge to the indicator relay and "indicate" both indicators simultaneously? A wiring diagram would be most useful if anyone has one.

Thanks

Dylan

Cool

Hi Dylan, Don't know about 140's but early 240's shouldn't be much different from them. Set up with these was as follows. Hazard switch gets two +ve supplies one ignition controlled (goes to terminal 15 on haz sw) the other permanent live (30). Terminal (49) goes to flasher unit live feed and replaces live feed already there. Two terminals on Haz sw (L & R) then connect to L & R terminals on Indicator switch which go to indicator lights. That leaves terminal(49a) which goes to (49a) on indicator switch. Oh and the hazard switch has earth return connection for the hazard lamp. You'll be very lucky if all these terminal numbers match up but it'll give you an idea.
