Use the link in that - The DiCE unit you are getting will work with that version and unless you have a car that's 2014 onwards, everything in that software will be exactly the same as 2012

All you have to do is load that in Virtualbox or VMware, hit start, plug in your DiCE unit when you get it and you're good to go.

It's an image of my XP laptop so it's a clean copy of XP that's activated and has ViDA installed and working.

All you do is add it to virtual box, hit start and wait for Windows to boot, then when windows boots wait a few minutes for the ViDA icon in the task bar to go green (this means the server is running) then just double click ViDA all in one on the desktop and you're set.

Morning Alex,

That image that I have now downloaded is coming up with the following error. :-
Could not create the imported medium 'C:\Users\thetr\VirtualBox VMs\Windows XP - VIDA\Windows XP - VIDA-disk1.vmdk'.
VMDK: Compressed image is corrupted 'C:\Users\thetr\Windows XP - VIDA-disk1.vmdk' (VERR_ZIP_CORRUPTED).

Result Code:
VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80BB0004)
Component:
ApplianceWrap
Interface:
IAppliance {8398f026-4add-4474-5bc3-2f9f2140b23e}

So I assume it is corrupted.

Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Chris.

Did you import the image or open it?

It sounds like a bad download to me. I tried this on a friends machine last week and it worked fine.

I suggest you re-download it and try again

Hi,

I imported it. But it does take a while. Trying again now, what would make it become a bad download ?

Just tried this on my work machine and it worked fine.

Once you've imported it. Go into Machine > Settings > System tab then change the memory amount. Change it down to around 1GB (1024mb).

See if that helps.

No need to be connected to the internet.

Just wait for the server icon to go green in the bottom right of the taskbar then hit the 'ViDA all in one' on the desktop.

Pics attached.
