Thinking of an XC40
Wondering if anyone has already taken the leap, and what Volvo have quoted as the lead time?

I wasn't impressed when I sat inside TBH. Didn't feel much space difference between the V40 and XC40. There is a bit more head room. Mind you the first edition seems very good value.

If you are thinking of an XC40 in the uk I'd get in quickly. Spoken to my dealer this morning and they've only got 10 cars left to sell this year and believe other dealerships also have limited availability.
So by that i'd guess current delivery dates now will be Q4 2018. Seems like Volvo didn't expect the massive demand this model has generated.

Looking at "that" other dedicated XC40 forum it seems you'd be looking a minimum 8 month lead time now, possibly longer if the number of production slots still available this year is to be believed. Isn't it only the Ghent factory that is trying to meet worldwide demand?
As pointed out above looks like Volvo have an unexpected success on their hands, or it could be just early pent up demand being released now that everyone can see the real thing in showrooms. Last edited by PDP17; Apr 5th, 2018 at 14:33. |
