Default Can D5's be chipped ?

Marie Celeste defeated....

In addition to a 105K 850est GLT, I've got a Mar02 V70 D5 - never thought I'd enjoy diesel driving so much - its the T5 levels of torque that does it..
Anyway - other that it being a no-no for warranty reasons, I wonder if its possible to chip D5's for more performance......

Chipping is old school, you will need a remap

Celtic tuning are supposed to be quite good and they will even come out to your car to do the remap.

They'll remap upto around 200bhp, bear in mind if you map it, it will find any weakness in the engine/induction system. The D5's like to eat intercoolers in standard tune, so check how healthy everything is before getting it done.

Remapping diesels is great until the clutch starts slipping. There's not usually much excess torque-handling capacity.
