hi all,
i'm a new member and have some teething problems that i could do with some advice on please. I was searching the threads and got to page 10 before noticing there were 1168 pages, so i thought this might be faster
I have only had my 2003 s40 1.8 since april, and have changed drop links, wheel bearings, track rod arms & ends, coils, given it a service and lastly timing belt and water pump change. So not scared of getting my hands cut to shreds
less serious 1's first, i have the airbag light on, i've checked the drivers steering wheel connection but i have no clue where to find the passenger side. The computer turned the light off but it came back on.
2)Still got a slight knocking with suspension, i was thinking front lower engine mount as it also jerks slightly on gear change and i've just read on here that that can be a symptom.
3)stalls sometimes when cold and timing also slightly dips
4) lastly and this is the most annoying a loud clanking in time with the rotation of the belts (which is the reason for the water pump and cam belt change), i've tried it with the auxilliary belt off and so it's not auxilliary pulleys etc. I'm thinking harmonic balancer, but i'd like advice before throwing more money at it thanks.
Sos for making this so long but i thought i'd get your thoughts before giving it up as a pig in a poke lol
