My S90 D4 had it's 5th (and final, now there's no more software updates I'll do them myself) Main Dealer service this week at Stoneacre Chesterfield.

They kept insisting the cambelt was due. By 5th service they expect it to have 90k miles on the clock, mines only 47k so I refused.

They wanted to charge £699 for the cambelt replacement, so I expect a good indy to be cheaper.

I think they're trying to rip you off. No Volvo cam belts need replacing at 5 years old with only 47,000 miles. Good job you refused.

Its worth noting though that when the cam belt does need replacing, it goes by age or mileage (whichever comes first). So even if your car has low mileage, its still due by age. You aren't at that stage yet, but if you still own the car in future, it'll need to be done based on age alone (if you haven't hit the mileage interval, or mileage over age if you hit that first).

I paid £270 all in to have my 2019 D4 belt changed 18 months ago at my local independent garage at 90k.
