Maybe!! I would guess they are more likely to know what the codes mean.

This is a S60/XC60 forum after all and will probably have totally different software?

Copperknob is your man for all these codes.

It seems that I have these symptoms even though the independent Volvo man did not diagnose this on his Computer testing set up.

I am two weeks out of warranty am I wasting my time in beating up Volvo and asking for them to fix it under warranty?

If it is worth a chance who should I contact.

If I am to pay up how much will this cost me

Thanks

Keith

You won't lose anything by asking them - Volvo have just candied my warranty by 30 days whilst they try to diagnose an oil leak that has appeared at the back of the engine, and they did that without me asking - never know there was an oil leak as I haven't looked at the engine in 3 years 😄

Good luck, let us know what transpires and how it is resolved.

Mine has also just come down with the same sickness and it is also two weeks out of date on the warranty.

Just wondered if you had any luck getting it repaired or if you know how much it's going to cost me?

I've had lots of arguments with my dealer anyway so not likely they'll do it free. I'm getting the water in the passenger footwell problem too. Twice in 5 months and it's not covered under the warranty. I don't mind paying if they fix it but they just clear the tubes and send it back. First bit of dirt in there and same problem happens all over again. First time it took out a couple of circuit boards too. So each hit is hundreds of pounds and can happen any time.

Not happy.

I joined the DPF Temp Sensor Failure club on Saturday,

Engine flat as a Proverbial,

Repaired today, I'm pleased I took the extended warranty out, as it was 11 weeks out of manufacturers warranty.

sorry to read that...Did they replace the DPF, or do they clean it?

Had an issue with car feeling like its running on half power, for the first 30 secs- min after a cold start. No lights or messages. I got pointed to this thread (thankfully, as that meant I could ensure the dealer had the part in, in advance of the 100 mile round trip). Here is the outcome, in case it is useful to others (in particular note the out-of-warranty Volvo contribution)........

Just a final follow up on this.

Got the work done yesterday. The temp sensor did indeed flag on the diagnostics readout. Was great to have it sitting there ready to be replaced. This morning was the first cold start I had since getting it fixed, and the issue wasn't there, so all seems resolved.

Its the first work I've had done on this car that wasn't a pre-paid service or under warranty recall work.

Temp sensor plus labour worked out around £170.

Service manager said he'd try for a Volvo contribution. I expected this required him to email/phone Volvo. However its an automated process. He just put in the details of my car, and the part that was repaired, and up popped "70% contribution" on the screen.

So I ended up paying £50-odd.

He said the high level of contribution would suggest that it was a known issue. Some might argue that perhaps it should be done FOC, but personally I'm very satisfied with the outcome. Touch wood, its the first work I've paid for, which isn't bad on an almost 4 year old car (albeit having only done 23K miles).

Default xc60 dpf temp sensor

Just wanted to add another faulty dpf temp sensor to the list. Same issue as other members: car slow to react, no acceleration, problem is intermitent but seemed worsed in cold weather.

This is clearly a known issue and Volvo should recall all vehicles with this.

All Fixed by dealer.
