There's plenty on eBay, but as a the XC90 has a large engine 1 litre is require not the usual 500ml for small cars.

Here, try this seller ... £14

I use LM DP every 40K km, but I'm lazy so just pour half a 500ml can in the fuel filter unit rather than mess with the fuel lines. It won't help worn injector tips, but is real good at cleaning out gum deposits safely and they cause about half of all injection system faults.

I've also used LM idle flush just before an oil change, although there is no need to use it if your block is already clean, so I just use it every cam belt service to make 100% sure the oil feed pipe to the turbo does not have any varnish.
The other LM product I use every oil change is Ceratec, which reduces the Iron contamination of used oil by about half. It's good for bearings, but does not help reduce valve guide or ring wear rates much.

I have had a nightmare with my motor. Eventually had the DPF removed, but the mechanic said an issue with an injector recommended using forte to see if that would clean it up,but after reading the forum decided to get some LM DP
I have a 2006 185bhp. slightly different layout with the fuel pipes, but think I have worked it out.
however how to you get the pipe clips off the rubber hoses, cant work it out is there a special tool? I am not a mechanic but fairly practical. what did you use Shadeyman?
dont want to damage the rubber hoses.
jubilee clips would be so much easier.
If I cant do will just put the DP into the fuel filter holder but LM specifies using in a closed loop system so rather do it properly
Thanks in advance

They're called oetiker clips and are a tw*t to remove if you're working around stuff.
You need to get some tin snips on them or end cutters but that renders them unusable afterwards so make sure you have spares (and the correct tool to reinstall) or you can buy spring clips with an I.D. 1mm smaller than the O.D. of the hose you want to secure.
Don't use union clips, however convenient you think they might be.

Doing it this way is likely to be much less effective than the prescribed method of intercepting the feed and return from the tank. Although this method will result in 250ml of neat Diesel Purge being pumped into the high pressure fuel pump, most of it will be bled straight back into the tank by the pressure control valve and only very little will go through the injectors – especially with the engine ticking over or revving under no load. To get the full benefit you need to use the prescribed method.

Thanks
Just looked at you tube as well, which was pretty helpful
why is a spring clip superior to jubilee clip?

Because of their "seamless" design and the fact they have a predefined diameter, the pressure they exert is even with no pinch points and no risk of overdoing anything.
The problem with union clips is that in certain uses, you don't know if you've done it up tight enough until you've done it up too tight. This is why you'll mostly find oetikers or spring clips used across lots of manufacturers' fuel pipe unions.
