1996 850 t5 exhaust
ive owned my t5 for 6 years and now with 105k on the clock the exhaust has started blowing from the downpipe /turbo area. i will not be able to have a good look untill the weekend.. my question is if the downpipe or whole system is looking like its reached the end of its life what other quality options are there apart from a genuine volvo replacement? a few extra bhp is always welcome as long as cost is not excessive.
thanks in advance james 1996 850 t5 2003 kawasaki zx9r |

RE: 1996 850 t5 exhaust
Hi James,
I think you have several options here. You can either go for a direct replacement from one of the local companies eg. Magnex, Supersprint etc or if you choose to 'upgrade' then quite a number of forum users use Ferrita exhausts and are very pleased with them. Finally, you may also want to consider a tailor made T304 Stainless system (probably for around the same price as the others already mentioned) from Longlife exhausts, which is yet another company with impeccable credentials in terms of customer satisfaction. You can check out their website at http://www.exhausts.uk.com I think almost all of the abovementioned will be similar in price to a OEM Volvo system, and probably less. |

Mine is going into a company in newcastle on friday to have a stainless steel fastflow cat and full exhaust twinned at the back for a cost of £680 (cat is £200) as i am getting it all done together.

The bolts can come loose. There's a thread about it on http://www.volvot5.co.uk Cheers, Chris. |
