Ah because the BSR Optiflow was the one Stuart recommended. So this would indeed be a good swapout from the ITG foam filter then!

What exactly are you saying is wrong with those pictures of the ITG one? It just looks like it needs a clean! The engine side of it looks clean as a whistle, which is what matters. All of these 'lifelong' filters need to be cleaned and re-oiled periodically.

I mean I'd be a lot more suspicious of a filter which is perfectly clean after 10k miles - it obviously isn't doing any filtering!

Sounds like a fair comment to me! I've actually got no idea when mine was last cleaned / reoiled properly. I've looked at it periodically and it always seems fine so I just put it back.

Well I think I am keeping the Milltek and ITG filter now so hands off!

It appears that there would be no real difference in changing either so what would be the point.
