Default 2015 V40 D4 Fuel Filter Change

Done a full service on my new to me V40 D4. Everything except cam belt and fuel filter. The filter is the self contained cartridge type that lies parallel to the rear silencer. I'll try to attach a photo.
Question is am I OK to just swap it out for a new one? Can't see any bleed nipples anywhere to suck the fuel through with. A bit worried I'll create an air lock that won't clear with the starter motor. Had that once before on a Ford.

Thanks
Linx

I changed one just a few weeks ago.

You can just swap it out.

Careful of escaping diesel from the lines. My forearms got covered.

Once installed, fire the car up and rev it high for a few seconds and it'll be fine.

It was a D2 2.0 I did and it did cut out after a few seconds, but then fired straight back up and ran fine afterwards.

You can prime it after swop. Hold the ignition to swith on completely (without starting) a couple of time to prime. Then it should start quickly.
