1989 760 Turbo Estate for sale
I bought this car earlier in the year to help with furniture removal/storage - we moved a quarter of a mile and so a removal company felt overkill. It's performed its duties admirably, but now it is no longer being used, it has to go.
Pictures to follow, but it is a mid-blue metallic, with blue velour in great condition, heated front seats, electric drivers seat, air con, original radio, occasional seats in boot etc I didn't expect to get too attached to this car, but on the drive home it just felt right. I then ended up treating it to a service, some new rear springs, new number plates, replacement electric aerial, a genuine load liner, and a long aluminium roof rack. I also replaced the tailgate and struts, as the original one had some aluminium corrosion. I never got around to refitting the carefully removed 760 turbo intercooler badges, so it is currently unbadged, but I have the badges wrapped up and ready to fit. MOT is due in Feb, and there's loads of paperwork to show what has been done over the years. It's currently on around 128,000 miles. This car is by no means perfect - there is list of niggles (sunroof was working, now it isn't, headlining is removed, but I have it, mirror glass keeps coming loose) - but nothing that has any bearing on the drive, which is smooth and surprisingly lively. I've happily nipped round the M25 collecting things in it and it is quite at home at the speed limit. In terms of bodywork, its a great 10ft car, and I have had plenty of positive comments at the petrol station and storage unit, but again it isn't perfect. In short, this has been a fantastic car, which I'll be sorry to let go. I'm located in Brentwood, Essex. Open to sensible offers, and of course any questions. |

Yes, its the intercooler model. I don't know if the AC works - there is a light on the dash which is flashing, and the previous owner told me this was related to the headliner being down. I don't know enough about these cars to know if that is right, so best assume not.
In terms of pricing, I'm looking for £1,000. |

Where is the flashing light? Got a photo?
There is no light on the dash linked to the headlining so they were talking out of their butt on that one and probably pulling the wool over your eyes on purpose. |

Actually, there could be some truth in it. This has has ECC climate control, which has a sensor (temperature) in the interior lamp. Without this the system won't know the car interior temperature, so won't function properly. The ECC panel flashes the air conditioning lamp (blue) when a fault occurs.
