anyone got/had aftermarket seat mountings?
Afternoon all, I'm looking at fitting some sport seats into my 2009 v70 and I'm struggling to find any seat mounts that would fit the likes of a recaro etc seen a few at GSM near me but they can't find any on the stock so wondering if anyone has managed to lay hands on a set from a little further afield.
TIA* Craig |

Whilst I regularly throw my 09 V70 D5 into corners and drive it hard, even though these cars are not really sporty, surely if you want a sportier car, then it would be easier to buy one!

Don't know what your on about I took it round Donington Park a week after I got it and comparing the size against some of the other cars I've been round it in it's not too bad tbh just wanting to make look abit less standard inside

Your choise of course but having had recaro seats they just don't compare with Volvo for comfort and Volvo cloth seats hold you just as firmly as any recaro I have ever sat in on any of the rally cars I have riden in.
If you do go this route I would suggest you store the original seats to replace when you come to sell or be prepared to take a substantial financial hit. You may well struggle to find mounting kits as I should imagine there would be little call for them, I have however made them when I was building rally cars some years ago, amazing what can be achieved with a mig welder and some angle iron, and this may be an easier route for you. Thanks Paul I see what your getting at. Mines an ex police so don't want to know any history of seats. But looks like front seats have had the leather reupholstered and it looks dier can tell it's been done quickly buy don't know anyone who reupholsters seats as if like them to look nice maybe even different colour and go full leather instead of half and half. Being an ex welder and fabricator i know how easy and cheap it could be instead of buying proper mounts if there was any
