Default Emergency bonnet opening

Good Morning chaps

Do anyone know how to open a bonnet if cable for opening bonnet snaps.
It is releasing one latch but another stay closed.
DO you know if I can remove somehow front grill or do I need to acces it from underneath a car?

Your help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

It is possible to remove the grill by inserting a thin bladed tool in between the grill and the bumper, though I have never tried it. IIRC there are several clips along the top, two on each side and several along the bottom. Hopefully then you could get to the mechanism and release the bonnet.

but before you do that, the right hand side does have a safety latch on it, have you released this?

Luckily it were only a little bit stiff on one side. Few pushes on the bonnet and it released.
But how it is protected - wow I believe to do anything you need to remove bumper.
WD40 for now should help - I will see for how long.

Thanks for reply and advice for future. Hopefully it wont be needed.

I would back up the wd40 with some spray grease for longevity though my favourite substance for these things is duck oil sprayed regularly, penetrates deeply and leaves a lubricating coating for up to a year when it dries.
