V40: - Blower not Working - Page 2

I've just bought a 2001 V40 and it seems to have issues with the heater fan. It wouldn't work at all when started the first time, then when restarting the car later it did kick in. I'm going to try replacing the heater resistor.

Thanks dralphs for the code number of the resistor. I've just ordered 2 from here:

I only need one, but they only sell them in packs of two. Cost me £6 inc vat. Anyone want the other for £3 delivered?

Well that is inflation!

The one posted by Dalphs looks to be the same.

My maplin one has been replaced twice so hopefully the upgraded cost has equalled upgraded quality.

I indeed no longer own the Volvo it has been donated to a family with greater needs than mine rather than the pitiful trade in price I was offered. Miss it lots though.
