Default D4 VEA 190BHP EGR Valve Blank?

Pretty new to the 190 bhp D4. Is there anyway to blank the EGR valve?

I'm pretty sure that, like most diesel engines, if you blank the EGR flow the engine ECU will realise that there's no EGR flow (because the MAF doesn't drop as expected) and you'll get a warning light and limp mode.
