Ocean Race Orange Exterior Trim Paint Code

New V90 CC Ocean Race, only done 300 mies, looks like its been delivered with the orange paint on the orange bumper trim insert on the very front of the car scraped - as if parked over a high kerb or something.

Didn't notice till I washed it for the first time a week after delivery & the car was parked up-hill on my drive. Haven't even bothered telling the dealer. My more local dealer can't find a paint code for it - so says I'll have to replace the trim itself (unless I get someone with a light spectrometer to analyse it and do a near match). New trim is about £70+ & all it needs is some paint.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction?

Any local mobile scratch/dent repair guy will match your paint.

Doesn't that assume they have a paint code to math it to? Its not the car's paint - its just bit of trim in orange - all the Ocean Races are white.

They match the paint to the car not just the colour code, as most older car paint is faded and to put new fresh colour code paint on would not match perfectly. They also have to colour match trim parts.
Lots of the Volvo trim parts are ordered ready painted in the colour required.

Eh?? So your local paint person can't find the paint code, so you're ordering a new piece of trim which will need painting with paint he doesn't have the code for???? Makes no sense. You don't need a new piece of trim, your local paint guy isn't much cop if he can't colour match it and repair the affected area.

Find another paint shop. The guy I use can match anything.
