Default Clicking Noise XC90 D5 (Manual)

Hi Guys,

Haven't been on here in a while. Just recently there has been some unusual knocking/clicking noises.

1, there is a 'click' noise happens when first pulling off and often after changing gear 1 - 2 - 3 but not higher.

2, there seems to be a fair amount of vibration when idling. i have a few ideas on this one but want some carification before looking it this one!

3, as well as the 'Click' noise when accerating there seems to be a fair amount of creeking noise from the suspension...probably answered my own question here but is the anything specific to look for?

4, steering seems to jerk when on full lock.

5, how easy is it to replace the PAS pump steering is stiff at low speed.

need to start paying a bit of TLC, any help with the above would greatly appreciated.

thanks

Lower front torque mount on the gearbox is likely worn

Remove under-engine cover and inspect. Easy and low cost to replace.

Happened to me last year

Also check hub/driveshaft retaining bolts. They're stretch bolts to ideally replace them with new and torque up correctly.

Steering jerk, check tyre pressures, toe in, but most of all, change the PAS hydraulic fluid.... if it hasnt been done in years, this will be the issue.

Clicking, also check front transfer box wear.
