Mats are an optional extra and mine came with the carpet, pristeen so I assume they were fitted by the previous owner, however a full set of Volvo rubber mats were £45 from my local dealer and we're fitted 2 days after getting the car home.

As part of the purchase deal I had a Volvo detachable tow bar fitted and a tempa spare to replace the gunk and compressor.

All in all a pleasant and painless experience with no issues within the warranty period. I have had a couple of sencors fail since which cost me £400 by the time all was fixed.

Paul.
Thanks for that Paul been looking at the supermarket in glasgow and a more family run business and the competition is so tight that its probably better going to to the supermarket or a main dealer

Most are black or grey so I suspect all lease cars but probably well looked after

Volvo FSH is important if you are buying a 4-pot VEA. The EGR issues will more likely be covered by VUK with a FSH. If not, it's an £800 job.

Pleased to see you found a good specification car. There are a few of us 'manual drivers' out there.
Enjoy.

Pleased to hear you got sorted in the end! Did you manage to find one in the dealership network?

Hope you can make one our Scottish meetings next year to show it off :-)

Thanks

Ross

I got my car from arnold clark full service history with all the bad reviews they get I have no issues with them

I keep my cars until they die so it's with me for a while

I noticed lots of talk about the haldex unit and servicing but non of the dealers bother with it and I checked with several in actual fact one in Carlisle has a master tech just back from a course and he says that volvo don't touch them for 200,000 or if they get issues however I will change the oil on mine every so often but certainly not the 10k I see quoted on utube a dealer in glasgow said in 8 years he has been there he has never had one in for a fault

The gearbox I saw destroyed was a bmw as it happens the garage has never had a volvo in with a gearbox fault the boss had a volvo for 200,000k and no major problems but the bmw has just fallen apart

I think with awd manual is best anyway more of a driving experience and more involved for me since I'm a petrol head

When and where is your meet and I might pop over to talk volvo
