Do you have any messages on centre screen,

ie "no connection to service"

We have a dedicated wifi hotspot setup at work setup for the SPA cars and we download all the apps to cars and find that they download better in morning than afternoon,

There is abit of patience involved as there not the fastest to connect and does take a couple of attempts at times

I had this problem. Booked into the dealer. They did a battery reset which fixed the problem.

Must find out how to do this myself. Pity there isn't a reset button!

Cheers.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice. It's an ongoing problem which I've had for a couple of months or so now - certainly since the new Sensus was installed.

I think the battery reset is the way to go. There are instructions online somewhere (USA's Swedespede forum perhaps?) which involve taking one of the leads off the battery to the rear left of the boot compartment and leaving it for 10 minutes or so before connecting it all back up again. I remember serious caution is advised as the terminal can be a little fragile. I did it before when my sat nav went wonky and positioned me 10 miles from my actual location, and it fixed the problem. I seem to remember advice that it's worth storing your personal settings on a USB first too, in case these get wiped in the process.

I'll give the reset a shot at the weekend and see how that goes...

That function has been removed with Sensus 2.

Yes, that was my thought and I deleted the apps. But now they won't reinstall.

In terms of earlier suggestions, I did a battery reset yesterday but it hasn't helped either unfortunately.

I'm wondering if the only thing left for me to try (other than take the car into the dealership, which isn't worth the effort) is a full reset back to factory defaults. Has anyone tried this for any reason?

I resorted to a Factory reset a couple of months ago, when a map update went haywire (due to being interrupted part way through), and Sensus went batty: could not change volume, no sat-nav, no phone features, ...

Oddly enough the Factory Reset did not fix the issue for me (just had to leave the car overnight), but your issue is very different, so hopefully will resolve the problem you are experiencing.

Annoying thing is, is that the Profile export/import feature was removed/lost with the Sensus update back in May, so you will need to make sure you take a note of all your settings, on all your profiles (if you have more than one) and re-apply them after the reset. I suggest taking photos, but good old fashioned pen/paper work just as well. Only thing you might lose is different seat positions on different profiles (not sure, but think these got lost on mine)

Of course, if your Sensus has not had the May update (what some people call Sensus 2), then you should still be able to export/import your profiles

It is definitely an option to try, but a pain having to reset your profile(s) - but that does not take long to do.
