Default V50 battery change

I need to change the battery on my 2005 2.0D. I'm anticipating a problem with removal & replacement, in the shape of a bloody great bar running across the top of the battery.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, it's been a high-stress week already!

Thanks for that, should be a straightforward job now (I hope!).

Update,
Didn't need to remove the brace bar. Went to pick up the new battery this morning, and was pleasantly surprised to find they offered a free fitting service.
Stress levels decreasing.
