Default V90 Mud Flaps

Hi,

Owing to the amount of dirt that swirls up the sides and rear of my V90 in wet weather I've decided to fit mud flaps all round.

Does anyone know if the S90 saloon and V90 estate use the same flaps?, as a set of genuine ones from Volvo are over £150, whereas these from Ebay are £53! I suspect the fronts are the same but the rears may differ.

Yes, I know that they are Chinese copies but having previously fitted flaps from this seller to an S80 and an XC90 I know that the fit and quality is excellent.

Thanks.

I bought these

for my S90. Don't know if V90 are the same (suspect rear ones will be different).

Thanks Paul, but they are even more expensive than genuine Volvo accessory ones!

Thumbs up

I've resurrected this thread just to confirm that after checking via the Volvo accessories website that V90 and S90 mud flaps are the same, the S90 mud flaps from China do indeed fit the V90 too.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-OEM-F...MAAOSwVA5Z7gcV

I ordered a set of four, they arrived within two weeks, took all of 30 minutes to fit (didn't even need to remove any wheels), use the existing wheelarch liner torx screws, are excellent quality and a perfect fit. The best bit is a saving of nearly £100!

glad you're sorted.

Sorry for any confusion, I probably posted the wrong link, the ones I bought were about £95 for the whole set (ie: 2 pairs).

Difficult to see in your photographs, but did you use four torx screws on the rear Mudflaps.
The fourth torx screen needs a fixing attachment fitted and I found it to be a fiddly job.

Yes tem, for the rear flaps I used the three original lower torx screws and for the upper additional one I simply drilled and inserted a shortened plastic plasterboard fitting into the wheelarch liner and secured the flap using a suitable self-tapping screw & washer, something like this:

To be honest the three original torx screws held it very securely, but as the upper securing tab was there I thought I'd use it!

I did wonder when you said 30 minutes to fit all four flaps.
With the OME fitting instructions, one has to fold back the wheel arch lining, insert a torx fixing, replace the lining and then poke a hole through the lining to allow the fourth torx screw to go through.

Anyway, I am sure what you have done will be fine and you have saved a good few £’s.
