Yeh but I now have to remove the drive shaft. I have never removed a drive shaft.

Is it nearside or offside shaft that needs to come out and do you have the Renault box? Reverse top left.

There are no driveshafts on the rear. I thought you had probably moved to the fronts. Cannot help with the autobox, I have experience of the Renault box hence my question, but as you are still on the rears not relevant.

Yeh I named them incorrectly, not a drive shaft as its FWD and working on the rears.

Don’t give up now. If you have the balls to do your brakes there’s no reason you can’t replace an abs ring. Here is a YouTube video that will assist you. Would like to have seen the method he used for loosening and tightening hub nut though.

Don’t give up!!!!!

The wheel bearing doesn't need replacing unless it's worn. The rings are difficult to attach. I found pressing down on one side caused the opposite side to pop off. After a few goes, I used a G-clamp to hold one side while pushing the opposite side in a vice. I did the very gradually and gently so the ring wasn't stressed. I had the bolts in at the same time, so I could turn them a quarter turn while also turning the vice, and little by little eased it onto the hub.

All I need to do is remove the hub itself so I can get to the back of it to replace the broken ABS ring.
