Stainless hubcaps
Hi,
Does anyone have two stainless/chrome hubcaps to fit a '79 265 GLE? They are 8" in diameter with a matt black centre and silver 'V' I'm in Manchester, if anyone has some down the back of their settee? Thanks, John. |

If the same as period 244 ones then I probably do. Will look them out, measure and confirm next week as my early 245 isn't here.

Sorry for delay - computer playing up again, and only now can I get on again.
The good news - I have a pair of those 8" diameter stainless caps, but the bad news - mine have the word "Volvo" on the black centre disc. These are the same as on my '79 244 so perhaps those with just a "V" in the centre are 260-series specific. Any thoughts? I can photograph mine if interested but can't put on here: PM me if interested. Paul |

Memory failure - just looked at photos of my '76 244 and see it has what you want BUT without the matt-black paint around the V. My excuse - my car is 50 miles from here and I'm not as young as I was!
That means the spares I have in the garage there are the same type, so if you are prepared to paint the matt-black yourself I can help. If you want pics send me a PM with your email address and I can arrange. Paul |
