help! Rear passenger door not opening due to deadlocks on my

Hi all,

Hoping you can help me, i have a V50 05 reg, the rear passenger door will not open inside or outside, looks like the deadlocks are stuck in the closed position!

i have been able to get the door card off, but cannot see how i can manually get the deadlock mechanism to open, the electric window works fine, and i have tried banging the door in various locations while pressing the remote key but still no success!

Anybody with any other ideas?

one thing i was considering was possibly unbolting the door off its hinges by opening the front passenger door.

The door lock unit will have failed and needs to be replaced. Some have reported success with 2nd hand parts but Volvo and VIDA state it's a software coded part. About £300 inc. labour to get it fixed at Volvo.

thanks, any advice on getting the door open without damaging anything so i can try a 2nd hand mechanism?
