    Brochures including a very weird body kit! Pictures...

    As mentioned in the General section, this weekend saw us visiting the Techno Classico Motor Show in Essen - the worlds biggest classic car show.

    At the show, I bought some very rare and not so common brochures, including one from a company called "Haas Tuning" that shows of a very strange (hideous!) bodykit and other things.

    Although the accesories brochures for the 760/740 are in German, if anyone would like to see further pics or more details, pls let me know.

    Here goes....

            Great Pics, I'm in the process of setting up a web page with scans of various wonderfull 80's Volvo Bodykits that were available for the 2,3,7 and 9 Series models.

            I have never seen that Hass Tuning kit for the facelifted 7's that became the 9 series.

            Any chance you have a scanner that you can scan these in and send me some copies to put up on the page.

              More pics are coming tomorrow that will include the original Volvo 740/760 body kit.

              Agree, that Haas Tuning kit I've never even heard of!

                  I nearly bought that kit from someone on German eBay to fit to my facelift 760, but by the time I got a possible trip sorted he'd sold it. It is rare though - a bit like the Richard grant kit for the 700 (or even the 200).

                    This photo is only to show an interior colour that I've never seen - GREEN!! Also, I can not remember seeing the half leather interior on the 740.

                      Thats my dream car the gold 740 turbo :D I have a set of those wheels, just need the car lol. I think the hardest bit will definately be getting hold of a volvo bodykit! Rare as rocking horse doo doo!

                        My eyes lit up when I saw the B230K tuning kit as I haven't seen it before. This would be for the 1987+ variants though wouldn't it? I've heard that the kit includes a V-cam but do you recognise the other parts or know what is written about the kit? I think I can see a diff cover gasket and gear?

                          Yes, the brochure is dated 1987.

                          I haven't got the brochure with me at the moment so can't tell what it says, only a few things that I remember. It is only for the 130bhp engine, manual only. There are no performance figures given, nor the total amount of NM or bhp increase.

                          As for the parts itself, I have no idea what they are except it looks like a cam + some other bits.

                              I think that figure of 130 must be what is achieved after installing the kit because the standard engine is 117bhp.
