AWD diconnected service required
Have got the yellow triangle with message AWD DISCONNECTED SERVICE REQUIRED on MY 2010 XC90 R design anybody out there had the same and what was the outcome?

No one else seems to want to answer so I'll give it a try.
The AWD system relies on other systems. So, for example, if the ABS sytem was faulty, the AWD system would not work and would therefore be turned off(disconnected). You most likely have a fault else where on a related system that is causing this problem. |

You could do with codes being read, if you do get them read make sure you ask for them so you can post them up.
I've no idea at this stage what is wrong but what I can tell you is your Haldex system (4 wheel drive system) is reporting an error and as such the car has given you the yellow triangle and the system message. It will also mean it has stopped your 4 wheel drive part from working too. Unfortunately you really do need the codes to find out what is wrong. |

Have now had the codes read and the DEM that supplies power to the AWD has failed

What was the codes ?
DEM = Differential Electronic Module. Not heard of that failing before ... Last edited by Shadeyman; Sep 9th, 2013 at 22:55. |

Did you get the actual code?
What code reader is being used? Some generic ones are pretty bad at actually pin pointing the problem on the XC90 for haldex codes. Last edited by SonyVaio; Sep 9th, 2013 at 23:17. |

From the invoice following VIDA NO PUMP OUTPUT FROM DEM OIL PUMP READING 4MA CONS DTC DEM-000E PUMP MOTOR
Also contacted dealer and was told they would have to remove prop shaft to gain access. |
