Default Brake shoes for a 2006 V70?

I'm confused as most of the adverts come with the rear brake disc and pads and shoes and fitting kit, I thought the V70 2005 onwards Mk2 all have brake discs with pads and no shoes in sight, or am I wrong..

The shoes are for the handbrake that sits in side the rear disc. It works independently of the calipers and pads.

This is what's behind the rear disc.

I've a long way to go with the V70, rear discs with shoes I wouldn't have known. Is this a better setup than the normal rear disc pads for handbrake.

Cheers
