just press the button on the end of the left stalk .. It will go on it's own after a minute anyway so not really a problem . It is trying to tell you that your car is due for service in a months time . It will change to SERVICE DUE after a month then service overdue later ...Originally posted by Terry Margeson View PostHi Can anyone tell me how to clear 'Book time for Maintenance' from my dashboard in my 57 plate V70 new shape. ThanksMy comments are only based on my opinions and vast experience .

V70/XC70 - Service Reminder Reset:
To reset the service reminder, do the following:
1. Push the key fob all the way into the dash slot (until it clicks)
2. With your foot off of the brake, tap the engine start button - this should light up a portion of the gauges.
3. Push down the trip mileage counter reset button (a nub to the right of the RPM gauge)
4. Still holding down the trip mileage counter reset button, and with your foot off of the brake, push the engine start button for about 2 seconds until all of the informational lights (i.e. check engine, etc) light up. Once they light up, you can stop pushing the engine start button (but continue to hold down the trip mileage counter reset button).
5. After a couple more seconds of holding down the trip mileage counter reset button, you will note that the "i" (the alert that there is a vehicle message) will begin to blink. This is your cue to release the trip mileage counter reset button. You must do this before the "i" stops blinking, or it will not reset.
6. Restart the car to confirm that you have successfully reset the "book time for maintenance" message.

Of course they do but just turning the information off without doing the maintenance is all too common amongst some groups. Not saying that's the case here but we've all seen the remove the bulb advise when warning lamps light up.Originally posted by Billggski View PostThey all do that, manufacturers want you to use their dealers so they hide the method in mystery and obfuscation!
One can hardly blame the manufacturers for making it harder.

Thanks for the guides and links explaining how to reset, however my car does not appear to have either the odometer reset on the dash by the dials, or the T1/T2 button on the dash or cluster described in the links above.
The T1/T2 reset is navigated to by using the left stalk scroll wheel and the end of stalk "OK" button, therefore there is no way to "press and hold"
Does this mean the only way to clear the maintenance messages is by plugging the car in to a code reader, or has anybody found a guide for cars like mine (late 2013 facelift model V70), or am I being an idiot and not looking properly for the T1/T2 button?
Thanks
