Feedback on ECP Crosland fuel filter
I thought I would share my experiences of Crosland products sold by Euro Car Parts. I understand Crosland is an ECP own brand.
My S80 2.4 petrol came up to 110,000 miles, so I decided to replace the fuel filter in line with the recommended service interval. I purchased a Crosland fuel filter from ECP. It fitted just fine. Four months later, it started leaking from the crimped seal where the flat disc at the end joins the bell shaped housing. ECP were as good as gold and posted out a free replacement. Eight months later my car was MOT'd, and received an advisory because of corrosion on the fuel filter. I hadn't bothered to look at it since I fitted it, and was shocked to see the corrosion on it after such a short period of time. The Volvo original was in immaculate condition when I removed it, with no corrosion on it whatsoever. With such poor quality materials used on the exterior, it begs the question as to the quality of the filtration on the interior. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing any more Crosland branded products. To be fair to ECP, they did refund me the cost of the filter. You live and learn... |

Wouldn't fit a modern Crosland product to any car. Mann, Mahle or OEM is the way to go.

I've read the brand name was bought up and the filters are made (quite badly) in China.
