Default Front Subframe Bush inserts

I've watched SiRobb's video and the general consensus seems to be that polyurethane inserts are a positive.
There are two available on e-bay :-
Powerflex @ £62
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133119944...84.m1436.l2649

and some sold by Parts Monster @ £24
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293042915...84.m1436.l2649

Any one got experience of both and are the Powerflex worth the extra money?

Hi I fitted the cheap ones as the powerflex ones did not exist
but they only fill the void in the Volvo bush, so I would think there would be no benefit for paying more,

and yes FIT them

Thanks Dave, Were there any downsides- increased noise, etc? And did you renew the bolts or reuse the old ones?

increased noise , no but you do feel the road more, But when I fitted my new Koni Front Struts it made it a lot better,
I did re-use the bolts, new Loctite ,but don't forget they have already been stretched , so don't over do it, , I would get new bolts if I was you,
The braking feels better,
all is more positive ,

I decided to change the subframe bushings instead since mine were bad and shifting.
The car's cornering got so much better.

I fitted them but noticed a considerable increase in general noise and vibration levels. So much so that I removed them.

Be warned that they are a b***h to remove once they're in - just because they push in does not mean that they pull out. It took me hours with a Dremel to grind them out piece at a time.

My car had only done 80 odd thousand miles at the time and the original subframe bushes did look to be in good shape. Perhaps the inserts do offer a benefit to cars that have done higher mileages and have tired bushes?

I came to the conclusion that Volvo left voids in the bushes for a good reason.

ive recently fitted the parts monster versions. not noticed any increase in noise or vibration, but with the D5 unit up front, its not without its own vibrational quirks anyway. BUT, handling better, seems to of lost a vagueness id got around 50mph. but remember to use rubber grease, not normal grease.

I installed the PowerFlex product and my read is that they smartened-up the ride a touch.....nothing huge but noticeable.
My bushings appeared to be in good shape. One poster thought the poly inserts could possibly extend the lives of the bushings because they "support them".

If they resist removal I'd use drywall screws (they are long and have deep threads) and pull 'em the same way you'd pull a nail.
