    RTTI Failed on Sensus (not a Sim Problem)

    Anybody else lost their traffic information?
    Mine disappeared on Monday so seems to be out for last 48 hours.

    The Sim (Vodafone) works perfectly and I'm able to download App Updates.

    I've rebooted the Sensus by holding the home button for 30 seconds. I seem to remember an old thread about pulling a fuse to do a 'real' reboot.

    It was all there on Saturday when a trip to London was showing all the roadworks issues with slow traffic warnings around Wandsworth and Putney.

    Now that you mention it, I used my V90 today for a 50 mile round trip commute to and from the office, the first time I had used it for a few days, and the Sensus RTTI was remarkably quiet, so I suspect that makes two of us, and makes it less likely to be something coincidentally localised to just the two of us.

      Ditto. Was in the Lake District over the weekend. All fine, then nothing on Monday on the drive south but still had internet connection
      XC90 D5 Inscription MY16 - white + blond/charcoal, and got carried away with packs and options...

        I've not noticed it, but I've seen somebody else here in Sweden complaining about the same thing. There aren't any frequent traffic jams where I live, so myself may not notice.

        It could be some RTTI server issue if it's even hitting different countries.

          I have my Sensus Navigation to show Green on routes with no problems (It's one of the tick boxes below RTTI). So my display looks naked without this traffic information.

          Let's see what Volvo says

            Well...
            I should have expected Volvo to be unhelpful.

            The chat went all through the same checks I've already done. Then said the vehicle needed diagnosing at my Volvo Workshop. I couldn't get them to understand that it was a problem at the other end with the RTTI Server.

            Eventually they conceded that they would escalate internally but I still needed to visit the dealer to have the vehicle diagnosed!

            So I went to my dealer. They hooked it up to their WiFi (to eliminate Vodafone). The world icon came up (proving it was now connected again) and they concluded it was a transmission error from Volvo.

            They will do a report, but interestingly. they said Volvo would insist on them checking other vehicles to replicate the fault.

            So also need some other Forum members reporting the fault.

              Just to confirm I did the same 50 mile round trip commute to and from the office today as I did yesterday and as was the case yesterday there was simply nothing happening according to the Sensus RTTI.

              Hugely ironic that between last Thursday and yesterday a brand new set of roadworks was set up on the M27 on the route of my 50 mile round trip commute to and from the office!

                Further problems this morning but probably unrelated.

                The 'World' icon disappeared from the display indicating it had lost the Internet connection.

                Yesterday, the workshop connected the car to their workshop wifi to eliminate any Vodafone Sim problems. It didn't fix it so they set it back to the onboard Sim.

                Continued yesterday with the World icon in the display but no RTTI being received.

                Now the World icon is missing so I moved the car connection to a Tethered link to my iPhone. This reinstates the World icon but still no RTTI.

                So two problems to fix?

                  KNOWN PROBLEM

                  My workshop has just called. They submitted a report yesterday to Volvo and the response just returned. It is a known problem and they don't yet have a fix.

                    Now back to the Vodafone Sim. It's erratic.

                    Jump in and start the car and the Globe Icon is missing.
                    Change the input to a Tethered iPhone (remembering that the iPhone likes to have the tethering setting open when connecting) and the Globe returns.

                    Leave for 5 minutes then set the input to the Vodafone Sim and watch for about 30 seconds and the Globe returns.

                    Next start the Globe Icon is missing

                    Repeat!

                    Now going for a Three Sim

                      XC60 2018 Inscription

                      Yes my RTTI stopped working about a week ago, lost the green roads and no information about traffic congestion which is really quite useful around Yorkshire.

                        I have the same as you. No Sensus RTTI and Globe is disappearing even if I force it by WIFI conection.

                        Volvo chat:
                        "We have had reports of this today, and our technical team have confirmed they are aware. At the moment, we have not heard back from them regarding this. Could you kindly monitor this for the next 24 to 48 hours, and reach out again if it hasn't resolved itself?"

                            Update from Vodafone
                            "Kindly note that there seem to be issues with the IITC service for Volvo users. If your service is not back by Monday, we ask you to send us a screenshot of the error you get when using the service along with the timestamp (not older than 24 hours) so we can have a case assigned to our team."

                              Need some more complaints going in. This is Volvo Support to me this afternoon...

                              I am afraid there is no timeline at this moment for a fix, but the team have advised that they will update me when they have a solution date or more news about this issue. I will keep this case open for you and be in touch as soon as I hear from them.
