Sorry to start up an old post again..... but i cannot get it to work at all with my second key fob. I followed the instructions from http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/ser...ntrySystem.pdf to no avail.
I have a 1995 855 T5 in black. Will post some pics soon too.
The light on the dash flashes after 5 turns of the ignitition then i press the key fob... and nothing?!

Any ideas?

Cheers

are the batteries ok and in the right way round ?
if so the fob could be off another mode in which case will need the dealers to program it

Thanks for the replies...

Here is a pic of the fobs, the left is the one that works the right is the second hand one.

It makes a noise when i press the button so i presume the batteries are ok but will change them just in case (i should have done that first really).
All the doors/bonnet/boot are closed.

Your wasting your time with second fob. For some reason Volvo made two identical units with different frequencies...The only way to tell them apart is there part number...Search the forums for a alarm post by BB54 and this will explain more...(sorry i would post you a link but i have not mastered copy and paste on this phone)....
