I'd say full offroad tyres with big chunky inch deep tread, but that would be impractical for the 99.9% of the time the car isn't on wet grass.

The best thing to do is just be gentle on the throttle - you've got AWD so as long as you're gentle with the power and don't just sit there spinning the wheels then standard road tyres are fine.

Use the Winter mode on your gearbox which will put the car into 3rd gear so you're less likely to be able to spin the wheels.

Hi,i've got Pirelli Scorpion STR fitted too mine which where fitted as standard and too be honest up to now i've never had a problem when towing the caravan.

Like Villan said, just be gentle on the throttle.

But,as for using winter mode, personally,i wouldn't reason being,if the grass is wet it's soft ground. You'd have a ton and a half possibly on the back of the car and your trying to set off in third!.

I'm not saying don't do it but for the reason above,i wouldn't.

Btw Someone is selling some winter tyres on the V70 P2 forum for £200
which would seem ideal for what you need???

Its a bit pointless putting Winter tyres on for a car that will see wet grass once in a blue moon and do 99.9999% of its driving on asphalted roads - motorways/A-roads/town etc etc.

Good road tyres will be fine, winter tyres will compromise the handling. (Lots of comments from people in the runup to winter commented about how "washy" Winter tyres felt in warm weather)
