V70 2.4D Fault codes ECM-2501/2502
This V70 logs these fault codes when accelrated reasonablt hard and puts it into limp mode.
Fault code ECM-2501 Fuel pressure to high Fault code ECM-2502 Fuel pressure to high We have changed the fuel pressure regulator solenoid in the pump but still no cure. We changed the fuel filter and checked all the fuel lines etc. Tempted to change the pressure sensor on the fuel rail but just wondered if anyone had come accross this fault before |

Hi Thanks for the reply.
I haven't checked for a blockage in the return. I'll check it out and post back with the outcome. Is this common to block up? |

Checked the return, gently blew down the lines with air line, all ok.
Doesn't appear to be suffering from excessive leak back at the injectors, not alot of fuel coming from return on injectors. |

Volvo S60 D5 (05) Cuts out when hot.
Hi All, Please help.
I have D5 motor that randomly starting with a red triangle on dash (ENGINE SYSTEM SERVICE URGENT) and then dies. I spent the money and bought VIDA and DiCE and ran diagnostics, I get Fuel Pressure Sensor - Signal too high and if i monitor it, when cold it runs around 350bar at idle, When hot it starts jumping from 0 to 1800bar and then the engine just dies. I checked diesel filter and had to the cranking for a while to get the air out the system. I cannot understand why its only when its hot. Thermostat says 90 Degrees but the car never reaches 90 according to VIDA, gets to 85 fan kicks in and then goes down. Im at a loss and dont really have deep pockets. any ideas? |
