Default Front seat head rest removal

HI
Is there anybody that can tell me how to remove the front head rests on my S40 54reg new shape. I had in my previous car headrests with DVD players in for the Kids. These are universal fit. Thank Mark

Just looking at the headrest they look fixed units not to be removed, In fact if memory serves me right I cannot remember anything in my V50 Owner’s manual that refers to their removal.

I was thinking of a DVD player for the rear seats but to be honest I think custom built into the front head rests may be a bit pricey.

The headrests are attached to the WHIPS system and trying to remove them will do substantial damage!.

Hi

If i remember correctly sit in the back seat and feel a third of the way down the there are two buttons behind the material ( you will have to feel for them ) press both and have an assitant lift the head rest. If you are puttting in dvd players the cable will have to go on the outside of the posts and feed down the inside of the seat ( a bit tricky i used a 8mm plastic pipe to pull the cables down). You can get the power from the rear 12v socket ( you can hide all the wiring inside the rear of the center console. If you are still have problems let me know and I will post so pixs early next week

Blub. No damage possible!

Look where the feet are of the headrests. Follow them down the back to about ~4" from top. Press carefully and you'll feel some little clips/clamps. Press them both in and the headrest will be released. You need 3 hands though... Or at least someone to tug the headrest when you release them.
