Default The 760 Turbo from Pwllheli.

Right, home again (but gotta go out again 'bout midnight) and bushed, so not many snaps yet... except these few!

What about this for a 1990 stereo combo!

Do these numbers from the cam-belt cover mean anything to anyone?

One bleb of rust, at the top of the o/s/r door.

And what looks like an attempted break-in (or more likely just a rather too close brush with an immovable object).

When I got to Pwllheli the back of the car was dragging, but a couple of miles down the road and the Nivos had pumped themselves back up again.

My first impression about the car was "I wonder if the cat is blocked?" it was so sluggish, then I noticed that the boost gauge would move to the centre but no further; a quick visit to Malcolm at Pensarn Volvos where he spotted that the actuator rod had fallen down, due to a failed clip; one new clip later and - YEE-HA! Thats more like it!!

I'm off, more tomorrow.

My gosh I dont come on here for a few days and all hell breaks loose lol ... Nick looks like you got yourself a corker .

As mentioned in another thread I to had those rear lights on my 740 , exactly the same mine where cloudy and I hated them . I phoned Braydons and they wanted about 50 notes each for new ones , but not original Volvo . I struck lucky on here as I found someone selling a pair that where immaculate ... sadly as per usual I got bored and sold the car a few weeks ago .

A few more thoughts before I go pick up a fare, then take some snaps on this lovely spring day.

The car was not strictly one owner (I know, a bit like being just a "... teeny bit pregnant..." as the last, Polish, owner had only owned it a matter of weeks and hadn't got round to sending off the log book!

It does, however, have a complete service record (unfortunately missing the actual invoices that would itemise the work done), in a list of 32 service stamps from a mixture of dealers and independents.

Very little paperwork actually; no old MOTs for instance.

Right, work calls. Back later, hopefully with some snaps of a rather grimy car.

Nice one Citizen Poseur........

By the way, I think I still have a spare radio/amp part of that stereo combo lying around (I sold the tape deck a while back). Buy me a cuppa at the BKV and you can have it, assuming I can find it that is........!

Default Snaps time!!

Right, ran off a few snaps when the weather briefly cleared.

Mean, moody and magnificent. And underexposed, lol!

Comin atcha.

Profiles...

... and...

That's one big butt!

Sunroof goes up...

Driver's seat has a bit of weak stitching, but not too serious.

The wonderful sight presented to the driver...

Lookit all the plumbin'

The alloys are a bit corroded, I can live with that.

The air-con comes and goes, lol.

She goes, she stops, and in a straight line, too. The drive is typical 21 (alright, 20 and a half) year old Volvo.

I almost forgot to mention - the listing made no mention of VED so it was a pleasant surprise to arrive in Pwllheli to find four months still affixed to the windscreen, which at approximately £71 (four twelfths of £215 = £71.66 rec.) means I got this magnificent car for a smidgeon over £300 - RESULT!!

Citizen Poseur indeed!!
