Default Cambelt change

Could anyone give me an idea of Cambelt change on a V70 T5. Is this 90k?? and how much would expect to pay a reputable garage for the job

Thanks

i think its 80k however i would do it sooner, around 50k, ive just done mine, dead easy, i reckon a indy would do it for around 100 quid plus the belt, however i would also change the tensioner and check the water pump

It's 96k on a 2002 S60 T5 and I believe it's the same for all cars that were on the 12,000 mile service interval. I presume the V70 would be on the same cycle.

I think I was told it was a £600 job (or was that for the whole 96K service?), but I'm only at 92k so don't know for a fact.

The haynes book of lies for this model states 80K miles but suggests half that.

TBH no matter if volvo state intervals of 80/90k miles for a belt change i would change a lot sooner, the number of belts on all cars which fail before there time is enough for me to be very sceptical and bearing in mind the damage a failed belt will cause it just doesnt seem worth the risk for a item costing around thirty quid

Unfortunately us S60 owners are not graced with a Haynes Manual! Mind you there are other sources!

Cheers

Had mine changed at main dealers last week for £350. Done 60,000 but best to be on the safe side.
