Default Fuel Pressure Sensor on D5

Hi guys,

This is my first post and I was wondering whether anyone could help me locate the fuel pressure sensor on the D5. I'm not sure what I'm looking for and it looks a bit daunting without the engine cover! It would be great if there's any illustrations out there. Mines 2002 on a 52 if this helps.

Thanks in advance.

If you follow the metal pipes from the injectors, they all come down to the fuel rail on the front of the engine and I am certain the sensor fixed to the left hand end of the fuel rail is the pressure sensor. It has an electrical connector attached to it, and if you are removing the connector, do it with the engine cold as it is very easy to burn your hand if the engine is hot.

remove the black engine cover, just above the oil filter is a gold pipe which runs from left to right with 6 pipes attached to it, the fuel pressure sensor is the one on the right, you will need to remove the connector first.
