Default 940 Estate Towbar Wiring

Hi

This may be a stupid question, but is there a specific orifice to feed the cables from the sockets through into the back of the car or do I have to drill a new hole. I have a 1997 940 2.3 LPT Classic Estate. Also because the car has a bulb failure device, do I need a special relay. I find conflicting information on the net.

Regards

Alan

There are a couple of aluminium bungs on the floor in the bit nearest the rear door. You just prise them out as required. If you are wiring into the socket in the passenger side stowage box you shouldn't need to do anything else. I fitted the basic 7 pin Volvo socket and after sorting the wires out just connected it up.
