Default Early 960/ S90 comparison

Hi - my car is an S90, but I have been offered a cheap early (J reg) 960 in the same colour. Would anyone be able to advise me as to whether the 960 would be a suitable spares car ie how much of the early car can be re-used in the S90 if necessary? many thanks for any help

Engine, gearbox, dashboard moulding, bootlid, some (but few) of the electrics, bonnet, wipers, carpets and that's about it I'm afraid. The basic shell is the same so that could be swapped over if needs be, but there are substantial differences between the early and late 960's. Volvo kept the basic shell but changed the switches, seats, front end panels, electronics, suspension etc when they facelifted the 960 for the 1995 model year.
