Default Strut Problem

Hi All, This is my first post and my First Volvo,I have recently got a hold of a 2005 Volvo S80 D5 SE, the problem i have is that I need to replace the front Struts on the car, it has the Four C Suspension system, and I cannot find any aftermarket/OEM Struts, I have talked to a few people who seem to think that unless it has the Self-Levelling system, which seems to be different to the Four C system, that standard struts will do, Volvo Dealer wasnt much help as they said they would really need to see the car ( and empty whats left of my bank account ),

Any help on this matter would be appreciated

4C suspension struts are not cheap about £500 a corner from a main dealer altthough they are made by monroe.

I belive this lot can supply them for a lot less, worth a call

Hi Mate, the 4 c shocks that go on the s60 r's are made by Monroe so I would imagine they would be the same. I have just replaced all 4 on my s60r and managed to get them from my local motor factors. They are also £167.00 plus the vat a big saving on the £430 that volvo want. Dingbro operate in most of Scotland and Im pretty sure there is one in your direction. Only bummer is they only deal with trade customers but im sure a local garage could get you them if you asked nicely
