Default Dismantling my 240GL 1988 - near Manchester

I am building a list of parts that are being removed from my 1988 240GL Auto that is being scrapped. I won't be posting parts out yet as explained in the thread below but I can earmark parts for you if you want them.

This explains why it's being scrapped
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=142587 .

This is where you can see the list of parts, more yet to be added
http://www.colin-lee33.pwp.blueyonde...tos/index.html

There is likely to be alternative arrangements available regarding removal of any major body panels but details awaiting confirmation.
Once confirmed I will notify the forum.

Colin

Default Update

Later in the afternoon today I went to look at the approach to the yard and I posted in the other thread that I would update after I'd visited.

It would not be possible to remove big items from the car there.
I'd be creating an obstruction.

Mike Brace PM'd me earlier as he will not be far away towards the end of the month and he has kindly offered to bring his car trailer for us to move the remains to the yard.

This means that those body panels can be removed whilst the car is at my house as it won't need to be driven to the yard.
I'd prefer them to be removed as close as possible to the date when the remains will be moved so as not to upset neighbours too much.
You would still need to collect though but time is not now as critical.

Body panel photos are here http://www.colin-lee33.pwp.blueyonde...tos/photos.htm .

It also means that the range of parts is now greater as the car won't be driven to the yard - but it does need to be rolling.

Hi,

If you have them, I am looking for the small tabs that fit in the heater dials?

Many thanks.

If you have been directed to this thread from my post today in the alt.autos.volvo newsgroup then you will need to register for an account here ( no charge ) before you can post a message in this thread.

If you have a Volvo - it's a good place to be in any event.

If you are new here though, you won't be able to PM me yet so post a thread message with your email details ( obscured is safest ) and I will eMail you.

I don't post MY eMail address on public forums.

The list of parts available has had quite a bit more added since my last post here.

See http://www.colin-lee33.pwp.blueyonde...tos/index.html

Please ask if there is anything you need that is not listed.

Colin
