Sounds like things might have turned out OK then. If you had got the poly bushes it wouldn't be the best idea to fit them to just one side really.
Garaged don't help themselves by not explaining what they are doing half the time.

Good evening all.
i`m a newby to this.
i`m a retired hospital engineer and a few weeks ago one of my neighbours asked if I could find him another Volvo. he had a `90 760 turbo which he had taken to a local garage for mot. this garage has got a reputation for somewhat inflated prices, but even i looked twice at the estimate of £1260 to get the car through i`ts mot. in addition to giving me £50 for helping him find another car he gave me his 760.
total cost of repairing the car £23 !!!!, plus about three hours work.
that`s right £twenty three.
and my wife is using it whilst i try to sort a dead instrument panel out on her 850

Hmm... you wouldn't care to name and shame, I suppose, just so's I can avoid them?! A main dealer, perhaps...?
