Mate

Recalls only applied to some VIN Numbers. Ive had 2 since purchase, one for computer software upgrade, second to confirm integrity of fuel rail attachments.
Check my previous posts for further confirmation or contact Volvo direct to ascertain if your T6 is affected.

Gravy, thanks! As I suspected, that confirms yours is a D5, not a T6.

No I own a T6, the recalls apply to this vehicle. Pls browse the site for my posts.

The latest recall for Volvos is for fuel line. My MY2010 D5 had some issues with the oil level sensor and had that replaced. I notified the dealer of the recall and they did that fix too. They replaced the sensor and changed the oil (after 1000km too). I'm happy.

We picked up our new XC60 about 12 days ago in Melbourne, Australia.

We pushed the dealer hard to get the free servicing as part of the deal because they did exactly that for the XC90 we bought there in 2005.

This time they just wouldn't do it due to some scummy attitude from Volvo about only the top 200 (I think) listed companies being acceptable to them.

I was very disappointed and almost called the whole deal off over it.

Having said that, I'm extremely happy with our car. Have posted separately about it today as well.

Hmm~...?

I have 5 years free services as well as roadside assistance on our xc60 that I purchased for missus late last year. I brought it in for the recall services few times and asked the dealer to do the regular maintenance as well - never been charged. In fact they even waived the charges for the courtesy vehicle when they had to rent the Toyota Camry Hybrid as their fleet was completely booked out on last recall service.

Only time I paid was when I asked them to retro-fit the RSE while the car was in for the recall service. Charged just over 2k for the RSE inc. labour...

I had my previous Jag on the similar 5 year free service + roadside assistance and only time I paid was to get one of its wheel fixed when I scratched the outer aluminium cover around the alloy rim. Of coz I traded it in before 5 years were up... ^ ^

Volvo australia tightened their corporate plan this year. All companies have to reapply. And one of the commitment is employees purchase 2 volvos a year. i got my xc60 t6 3 weeks ago.. I dont qualify, though the company i work for, is big enough. My company wont commit to that 2-volvo a year requirement.

Thumbs up XC60 first service Australia

Aussie (Melbourne) xc60 owners,

What are the dealer(s) charging for the "first oil change" ? (car has now done 8k only)
I have only driven the car for approx 3km before it needed this service, it was a Ex-demo.

I purchased the car from Melbourne city Volvo ( a few months back) the staff
and service there have been really good so far.

ps: Is it wroth getting the "lock nuts" for the wheels, just to keep the RIM firmly attached at all times.

Thanks Toni Mencevski.

Picked up my 2012 R-Design D5 over the weekend on corporate plan - so get 5 year/100KKm free servicing and roadside - but only 3 year warranty
