740 Front shocks help needed
Hi Guys, Right im in need of a little help please. Both of my front shocks have burst over the weekend after a very heavey day of track driving on sunday. Im looking to replace them asap as the car atm is kind of un-drivable
So my question is what shocks do i get? Im looking for some the stiffer the better, bilstien clearly is my best bet for this but money is tight at this time as ive just have to fork out £800 for tyres for my 4x4 challenge truck. I have seen people talking about cheaper ones that are just as stiff but just have been looking through the forum and now cant find any posts with what shocks people have used. So some links or something would help alot. Thanks Dave

I put standard Sachs or Boge (can't remember which) on mine. They weren't stiff at all, and only lasted about 3 years. The garage has replaced them, and I think they said they put Boge on, because that's what their supplier listed. Again, not stiff at all. Message: you probably don't want Boge!
If you really want to stiffen up the front end, I wonder whether stiffer springs is actually what you need?
